Gray Tambling, BS is a multidisciplinary artist and designer specializing in pattern and surface design. They have created imagery for local clients, employee resource groups, university initiatives, and 501(c)(3) organizations across the United States.
Gray studied Electronic Media, Arts, and Communication at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a concentration in graphic design. Their style reflects a lifelong love of craft, a devotion to saturated color, and a fondness for the absurd—ranging from illustrative work inspired by surrealists and children’s book art to bold, graphic pieces influenced by the Memphis Design movement.
They draw inspiration from gouache, watercolor, block printing, oil pastel, and a personal quilting practice. Through color and bubbling shapes, their work aims to bring joy and whimsy to everyday life. Their design practice focuses on stationery and home goods so that a small moment of happiness is always within reach.
